Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Just wanted to write and wish everyone a HAPPY Thanksgiving... I pray that we will all realize how blessed we are. The Lord has been sooooooooooooo good to us. I look back over my life and see where God has simply POURED his goodness into every area of my life.

I thought I would just start a small list of some of the things that I'm thankful for....

I'm thankful for the Lord, thankful for the Bible, thankful for my family, my wife and children, and I'm thankful for my friends.

My thanksgiving list also includes Shepherd of the Hills Church, my life, my health, my staff and my ministry.

I'm appreciative that the Lord allows me to live in California, thankful for all the Christians who live in our city, thankful for our Christian schools and Christian preschools. I'm thankful for the Christian heritage that my parents gave to me, and I pray that I can pass that on to my children.

I'm thankful for our freedom and for the men and women who defend our nation everyday around the world. I'm also thankful for the veterans and for those who died that we might have the freedoms we now enjoy.

I'm thankful for the missionaries who serve around the world, thankful for all those who volunteer in our Church. I'm thankful for our Elders and thankful for those who work in the Children's department. I'm thankful for those who are here for the long haul... those that are NOT going to give up when times get tough....

I have to say I'm thankful for pumpkin pie with whipped cream... :)

I am THANKFUL FOR EACH OF YOU....

May you take some time this weekend to truly thank the Lord for ALL his KINDNESS and GOODNESS.

In love,

Pastor Dudley

This past Thanksgiving weekend, my family and I spent time in the San Francisco area. We were sightseeing at night, and I commented to my wife that I have never seen the city so clear and bright. The previous times that we've been there were always foggy and windy. We could see the moonlight shimmering in the bay. We thanked the Lord for the perfect weather. As we were waiting in the intersection, a car next to us was honking at us. I was startled and I was hesitant to open the window. I looked at the driver and she wanted us to open the window. I was thinking that she was probably lost and needed direction. I openned the window and before I could speak, she shouted that she also goes to Shepherd of the Hills. She said that she saw my license plate frame and that she had to tell us. It was a pleasant suprise. It was really an awesome night and it made our day. Just wanted to share with you our Thanksgiving.
