GIRLS RULE!

I've been coaching my little 10 year old girl's basketball team, and last night we had our first game. It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun. We did win the game 38 to 3, but the fun part was seeing girls who had never ever played the game run up and down the court and play with confidence. You can see on their faces this desire to do their best, even though there are five opposing players trying to stop them.

I told the girls that if you practice hard, then the games are fun. And if you don't practice hard, then the games are difficult. Such is true in all of life. To work and practice hard is the real battle of life.

I'm praying for each of you today that your family, company, or your 10 year old girl's basketball team will give it their all and enjoy the fruits and benefits of their labor.

NOTE: On January 21, our team will be playing during half time of the Cal State Northridge Men's basketball game at 2:00 pm at the Matadome.

I have been coaching my sons as well, and we played an exhibition last year at CSUN. It was a blast. And the kids got to meet the Matadors after the game (our team is called the Matadors, too) and you'd have thought they'd met Michael Jordan.
Enjoy yourselves out there, preacher!
